Undiscovered Gems of Thrash Metal

Most of these are pretty extreme and heaveeee! Don't take a chance with these if you think Slipknot is heavy!! or that Fatboy Slim rocks...lol. These are some absolute Thrash masterpieces from the mid/late eighties and early nineties which didn't get as much recognition as they should have. Some of these, in fact give the big ones a run for their money..that's IMO of course. So here they are

1) Spectrum of Death--Morbid Saint (1988)

Quite arguably the finest piece of extreme Thrash metal you've NeVer heard of. It's a pity Morbid Saint did not put out anymore albums, except for a hard to find EP titled Destruction System in 1992. The production is a bit raw, but the riffs are simply devastating. It is an absolute! must for any fan of Thrash/Death.

2) Slaughter in The Vatican--Exhorder (1988)
This is the band that Pantera ripped off! Listen to this to know where those buzzsaw guitar tones and the guttural Anselmo screams came from. It's a moshers delight from start to finish. Exhorder had the same fate as Morbid Saint; only two albums!!..aaah!

3) Serpent Temptation--Incubus (1988)
Ok, first things first; this ain't the Megalomaniac singing crappy Incubus. This album is one of the finest examples of ultra heavy Death/Thrash crossover madness.

4) Terror and Submission--Holy Terror (1987)
Mind numbing onslaught of speed/thrash. This is just godly!
That's all I have for you right now, shall keep this 'Undiscovered' thing going on as and when I get the time. Adios till then...

umm..I don't think there was a password for that file. Anyway, if it's asking for the password, then try "BARBAROUS", if that doesn't work then try "thrashnroll-barbarous.blogspot.com", without the quotes of course :) cheers
